NEWS: Donald Trump Scraps Obama's Transgender Bathroom Bill

The Trump administration on Wednesday revoked federal guidelines which ordered that transgender students have the right to use public school restrooms that matched their gender identity. The administration lifted the federal guidelines on Wednesday that had been issued by the Obama administration back in May 2015.

It will now be up to states and school districts to interpret federal anti-discrimination law and determine whether students should have access to restrooms in accordance with their preferred gender identity or their biological sex.

NEWS: At least 74 Bodies of African Migrants Wash Up On Coast of Libya

At least 74 bodies of African migrants have washed ashore on the coast of Libya. According to the the Libyan Red Crescent, the bodies were found near the western Libyan city of Zawiya on Monday. Speaking to Associated Press, Red Crescent spokesman Mohammed al-Misrati, said he feared more dead bodies might surface as there are more bodies floating out at sea, but they do not have a means to retrieve them.

NEWS: Lagos Govt Destroys Illegal Movies & Equipment Worth N10m!

The government of Lagos State has destroyed illegal movies and equipment worth N10m.

The Executive Secretary, Lagos State Film and Video Censors Board, Mr. Dele Balogun, on Tuesday said the movies included pirated and unclassified local and international movies, as well as duplicating machines which were seized in a raid on some areas of the state.

He said, “The burning of the confiscated illegal movies was done to discourage people dealing in such items. It will be a continuous exercise to rid the state of the sale of such items. Those that were caught with the illegal films have been prosecuted.”

NEWS: Court Orders Forfeiture of $9.8m Recovered From Former NNPC GMD, Yakubu to FG

Federal High Court sitting in Kano on Tuesday ordered the forfeiture of the sum of $9,772,00 recovered from a former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, NNPC, Andrew Yakubu, to the Federal Government.
The order was sequel to an ex parte application by the EFCC seeking an interim forfeiture of the recovered money to the Federal Government.
The application was moved by Salihu Sani, counsel for the applicant.

NEWS: Fayose FG Withholding Ekiti’s Federal Allocation Because I Criticize Them !

The Ekiti State Governor, Ayodele Fayose, has accused the Federal Government of directing the Federal Ministry of Finance to withhold the January Federal Allocation and the Budget Support Fund due to Ekiti State.

The Federal Government, the governor argued, did this because of his criticisms of the President Muhammadu Buhari administration

He also accused the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission of embarking on a witch-hunt of the contractors handling the state’s projects in order to frustrate his government and prepare the ground for the All Progressives Congress’ return.

NEWS: Donald Trump Vows To Deal With North Korea !

President Donald Trump on Monday vowed to "deal with" North Korea, calling it "a big, big problem" without mentioning the ballistic missile it test-fired over the weekend or any planned American response.

The Pentagon was more pointed in its assessment of the problem. A spokesman said technical advancements in North Korea's ballistic missile programs, demonstrated in the latest test-launch from a mobile launcher, pose a "clear, grave threat" to U.S. security.

NEWS: U.S. Sanctions Venezuelan Vice President on Trug trafficking Acts!

The Trump administration imposed sanctions against Venezuelan Vice President Tareck El Aissami, after years of investigation by U.S. authorities into his alleged participation in drug trafficking and money laundering. The Treasury Department announced the move Monday, 13th 2017, placing El Aissami and another Venezuelan, Samark Lopez Bello, on a U.S. list of foreign nationals with suspected ties to drug trafficking.

NEWS: Trump National Security Adviser Mike Flynn Dramatically QUITS Amid Claims He Lied About Russia Phone Cal !l

One of Donald Trump's most senior advisers General Mike Flynn has dramatically resigned amid claims he lied about his dealings with Russia.
Flynn, who was the National Security Adviser, said he had "inadvertently" briefed the Vice President Mike Pence with "incomplete information" about a phone call he had with the Russian ambassadir.
Flynn had told Trump's team he did not discuss America's sanctions on Russia before he took office last year.
In December, Barack Obama ordered sanctions including expelling 35 Russian diplomats over evidence Moscow had attempted to influence the US election.

It is believed Flynn's call was wiretapped and the transcript shows he did discuss the sanctions.

NEWS: Concerns about Donald Trump's 'Mental Health'

Donald Trump’s mental health has raised concerns among his Republican colleagues, a Democratic senator has claimed.
Democrat Al Franken said he thought the US leader was suffering from mental health issues and claimed some of the President's own Republican party felt the same way.
Appearing on CNN, the Minnesota Democrat was asked by host Jake Tapper if it was true Republican members in the Senate had "expressed concerns about President Trump's mental health”.
Franken replied: "A few. It's not the majority of them, it's a few.”

"We all have this suspicion that he … that he lies a lot, that he says things that aren't true,” he added, referring to Trump's claims of voter fraud during the election.

NEWS: I’m Not A Thief & Can’t Be One- Ibori!

Former Governor of Delta State, Chief James Ibori, yesterday reaffirmed his innocence of charges leveled against him in the United Kingdom where he recently served a jail term, saying, “I am not a thief.”

Chief Ibori, who spoke in English and his native Urhobo dialect, gave the clarification at a thanksgiving service organised in honour of him by the monarch and people of Oghara kingdom at the First Baptist Church, Oghara.

The former governor, who was dressed in light brown native and blue wrapper, was ushered into the church during the praise and worship session at about 10.25a.m in company of his sister, Christie Ibori-Ibie, daughter and member, state House of Assembly, Hon Eriatakhe Ibori and a host of other dignitaries.

Speaking during the annual Christmas Carol Service at the Government House in Ado Ekiti, Governor Ayo Fayose said he is God’s project and anyone who plans for him to fial or his State will fail woefully because he has the backing of God. According to the Governor, some clerics had predicted he won’t last more than a year in office while another said he won;t see the end of year 2016 but he is still here today and still ruling Ekiti. According to a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Mr. Idowu Adelusi, yesterday, Governor Fayose also warned his aides against betrayal or subversive actions.

NEWS: Pres. Buhari Vows We Will Rebuild Niger Delta!!

President Muhammadu Buhari has stated that his administration will rebuild Nigeria, including the Niger Delta region, and he is asking for patience and understanding from Nigerians.

NEWS: Pope Francis Tenders Apology To Gay People!!!

The pontiff made the groundbreaking apology on his way back from Armenia Sunday as he spoke to reporters on his plane.

One of them asked if Francis agreed with one of his top advisers, who said after the Orlando, Florida massacre that the Church should seek forgiveness from gay people for having marginalized them.

Francis recalled Church teachings that homosexuals 'should not be discriminated against' but should be treated with respect and 'accompanied pastorally'.

NEWS: Senate Pres.Bukola Saraki, Ekweremadu Arrive In Court For Trial Over Forgery Of Senate Rules!

The Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, and his Deputy, Ike Ekweremadu, have arrived in court ahead of the commencement of their trial over alleged forgery of the Senate Standing Order.
The Senate Standing Order is said to have been forged by Saraki, Ekweremadu and others in the bid to inaugurate the 8th Assembly last year.
This was also used for the election that produced the Principal Officers of the Assembly.
Also in court is the former Clerk of the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa, who is also standing trial alongside Saraki and Ekweremadu.

NEWS: Pres. Buhari Hands Over to VP Osinbajo and Writes National Assembly Informing Them of His Medical Trip to The UK

President Buhari has handed over power to Vice President Yemi Osinbajoi. Osinbajo will serve in acting capacity for the 10 days President Buhari will be away in the UK for medical checkup.
 President Buhari's letter to the senate was read on the floor of the house by the deputy senate president, Ike Ekweremadu, during plenary today June 7th. This is the first time President Buhari is transferring power to Osinbajo since they both came into power in May 2015.

NEWS: Jonathan's Cousin Remanded In Kuje Prison Over $40million Scam!!!

A Federal High Court in Abuja has ordered that a cousin to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Azibaola Robert, be remanded in Kuje Prison pending the determination of his bail application.

Justice Nnamdi Dimgba handed the order today when Mr. Robert and his wife, Stella, were arraigned by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

EFCC had arraigned the duo on a seven-count charge bordering on money laundering, criminal breach of trust and corruption. Mr. Robert and wife are accused of diverting $40 million purportedly meant for the supply of tactical communication kits for Nigeria’s Special Forces. The funds were alleged to have been transferred from the account of the Office of the National Security Adviser, ONSA, with the Central Bank of Nigeria to the domiciliary account of their company, One Plus Holdings.

NEWS: VP Osinbajo- Why We Didn't Release Names of Looters!

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo says the Federal government did not release the names of looters as earlier said because such an action could jeopardize investigations into stolen funds. Osinbajo gave the explanation while speaking during a meeting with a delegation of the European Union led by the EU Ambassador in Nigeria, Michel Arrion, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja today June 6th

“We have released the list of recovered loot, we know people are asking for the names but releasing the names may jeopardize ongoing investigations”he said.
